Staunton Chess

Staunton ChessShould I buy a 6 "House of Staunton chess set?

I'm considering buying a House of Staunton Chess Set, but just the pieces. He has four queens, but is about $ 175. What do you think, and you have or if you want a game too?

no. no. no. no. there is absolutely no point. chess game, not the parts with which u play the game, and u can probably use the money u save to buy something useful, like a laptop or something

I gotta agree with the banana, if you're really interested in playing, no matter the size of the board of directors, or parts. I have a folding board that holds all the little peices of plastic inside and is about 8 "x8", I picked it up at a garage sale for $ 1.50 and a backgammon board inside too, just because he came from a garage sale doesn 't say that lack of coins, it had everything. I play and have fun doing it with what I have.

I love the House of Staunton design, but 6 "is much too large for your average gamer (I hate kings more than 4"). Unless you're really in love with such a set of high, buying one that has the 3.75 "King - they are better for the tournament anyway.
