Star Wars Trilogy Mame

Posted on April 26, 2010.
Star Wars Trilogy MameMAME emulator that can play SWT?

Im looking for an emulator that plays CEN "Star Wars Trilogy" anyone know one?

All versions of MAME (at least 0.101 and more) are supported for Star Wars Trilogy. However, there are probably a number of issues to be addressed.

1) There are issues of copyright ROM when playing with an emulator (like MAME), so I can not give you links to sites ROM.

2) Since the arcade game released in 1998, it is likely that the game uses a CD or hard disk. This will get the disk image for the game and the ROM files.

Most sites do not carry ROM disk images because of their size (750 MB to 2 GB), which makes it more difficult to get the game working.

3) Given that the game probably runs in 3D, you'll need a high-end PC or a class "supercomputer" PC to imitate well. Something around the lines of 2.2 GHz to obtain a frame rate and just something around 4.0 GHz to make it really playable.

Again, MAME is dedicated to the accuracy of the machines, it emulates, not speed! Therefore, the most recent game, the processing power you need to emulate it.

I'm sorry I can not help you on this point.
