Star Trek Pinball

Posted on May 10, 2010.
Star Trek PinballFans of Star Trek: Are you amused or appalled by current attempts to cash in on the show?

The reason I ask is, at the casino where I work (Turtle Creek, near Traverse City, MI), we recently took delivery of a couple of slot machines that use graphics from the series original television. They are actually kind of neat, I think, because they have bonus games inspired by actual events. (Two words: Tribble Pinball)
Please let me know what you think.

Gee, this evening, I just returned from Newbury Comics with original series phaser and communicator combo. I say I will embrace my inner nerd and go to the movies Star Trek Star Fleet suit in May.

It may be a geek thing to do, but it's fun. Football fans, wrestling fans, fans of the rock band, wear jerseys or shirts with the logo happened right?

I think that Star Trek is reasonable to merchandising. Fans need a little stuff to enjoy. The new bridge tricorder I look forward to.

I think if I had to take shameless marketing'd go with Star Wars. They took up a Darth Vader Mr Potato Head.

Ultimately, it will level out what the market can bear. Maybe a lot of retailers got stuck with TY Beanie Babies when America's collective finally awakened to realize they were cute kids, teddy bears, not 50 dollar collectors items.

I suppose if Trek wants to make a dollar just something that people appreciate that I am asserting. People are happy and fun. When it reaches the point a little child can not get a figure action because a guy goes into a store at 9:01 am and buy all to sell to "collectors" that's where I struggle with it.

I like tribbles tribbles and like almost everyone ... well except Klingons.

Live long and prosper!

I think it's inevitable. The market to find a way to provide what people are willing to pay for.

I'm sure there are many people in Hollywood who salivate at the idea of creating long-term franchise Star Trek has become - the films, the series continued, books, toys, games and everything rest.
