How to Repair a pool table The slightest stain on a billiard table surface can cause all sorts of problems. Nothing is more discouraging to the player pool professional to make a really good shot and watching the trajectory of the bullet be modified by a small tear or gap in the fabric surface.
Before your friends, neighbors, or clients begin to tear his hair, know that you can easily take care of this. Patching the fabric will not work, you'll have to resurface the entire table! Do not worry, it's a fairly simple job man this is not too expensive.
The felt can be found online, from a pool supply store, and even in some fabric stores. The billiard supply stores will have the quality feel the championship. This fabric is available in a variety of different colors and is usually purchased by the square meter. The pool supply store will know exactly how many square feet you need, so you must take your measurements. Due to downward pressure on the sides for the bumpers and the fact you stretch the fabric and secure under the tracks, add at least 12 inches on each side of the scale surface.
The next step is to remove the old cloth. It should be fairly easy and how it relates, depend on the support table. wooden tables supported clips and slate tables are often stuck.
Remove the side rails and lay your new felt completely through the table by pulling it tight length. If you are a wooden stand resurfacing start stapling the felt under the rails in the first medium on one side. Place a staple every 4 inches. When you reach a corner, stop and go to another corner. Stretch the felt tight and begins to staple the opposite side. Make sure the surface is smooth.
If you have a list of supported table, you'll need a good spray adhesive. Spray glue on the table about five inches from the edge of the table. Spray a little more glue on the underside of the canvas. Wait about one minute for the glue to become tacky and then press the felt down. Follow the same procedure as staples, making one side first, then the opposite side.
After finishing the sides and the table completely covered, use a razor blade tool to make small holes where the rails bolted to the table. This will keep the bolts to tears and could worsen when you tighten the rails. Cut back the felt.
Remove the pocket lining that is sometimes made of leather, for example, and pull the felt through the pockets and glue or staples. Then cover with the pocket lining and attached to a finished work.
As it is very difficult to move around the pool tables, most repairs are usually made on site. When you resurface your pool table alone, you will save hundreds of dollars on a professional service.
