The Lord of RingsGame (abbreviated LotR SBG), often called

by the actors as the Lord of the Rings, is a miniatures wargame produced by Games Workshop (GW). It is based on the trilogy of Lord of the Rings movie directed by Peter Jackson, and the book that inspired it, written by JRR Tolkien.

The game was originally released in 2001 to coincide with the film The Fellowship of the Ring. New box sets with rules update have been released for The Two Towers and The Return of the early 2009 ring.In Games Workshop also published an extension to the original game called War of the Ring, which, according to business, allows players to imitate the great battles included JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings by streamlining the game system [2]. This expansion is different from the main part in one of several ways. First War of the Ring uses a larger number of models, but models are placed on trays movement with two models of cavalry or infantry eight models each. This allows a movement much easier and faster for many models at once. They are called "societies". Large creatures like the Ents and Trolls are considered separate models and do not use trays of movement. Combat in the game is also treated differently. In the original game players roll dice to determine who wins both the battle and then the winner rolls to see how much damage is done. During the War of the Ring to determine damage dice are rolled. Also in War of the Ring Heroes are treated more like upgrades to their business rather than as individual models in the battle strategy Game.In more game, The Lord of the Rings Battle game includes other common elements of miniature wargaming passion. These include collecting, painting and converting miniature figures used in the game, as well as modeling playground from scratch.
