Component Cable

Component CableHDMI to Component Cable

Each day, many are looking through their high-definition equipment for interconnection solution by trying to connect to HDMI Component. Unfortunately, this is not a question of reorganizing the son and then having the right type of connector required. There is a problem of incompatibility of basic analog versus digital. This problem is a bit like the transition to digital broadcast television, which is to come, bunny ears cons who receive analog signals. They are not compatible and leave people confused as the poor in the TV commercial.

Component video is based on an analog format. With analog signals, voltage signals with the wireless system is in a particular wave format, and how changes in wave height which is important. In theory, it has an infinite number of values between zero and the maximum allowed, as the wipers variable I used to have an old Thunderbird.

Digital formats are based on signaling HDMI or DVI. The digital data as you may have heard, just zeros and ones with a sequence of pulses at the same level, and they are either totally present or totally absent. The data are then reassembled on the other side using the processing equipment. In a code of 4-bit binary, you can have one of sixteen different values than four 1s and 0s meeting with a group could be sixteen different combinations. If the pulses are received 1s and 0s, the equipment that detects analog signals for equipment and looking for analog sine waves can not function properly because they speak two different languages.

Often, solutions to this problem is quite simple, however. If an outlet is available, you must use an HDMI or DVI on both boxes. The difference between HDMI and DVI is HDMI carries audio and video signals. A DVI to solve the problem as well, with the additional expenditure of an audio cable. If you switch to using component outputs because your HDMI ports are already occupied, you may want to consider using cheap HDMI switch boxes that take input from multiple HDMI cables.

If you want to convert Component to HDMI, because you have heard is better than HDMI cables together you should think twice. Some data tapes the assertion that, although the HDMI cables, in theory, provide image quality, in reality, since the conversion between resolutions and display formats, component connections often end up provide a better signal television. This is especially true when it comes to cables longer than 25 feet. So if you can, try both types of cables to find one that offers the best picture available.

If you are still stuck for some reason and must change components to HDMI cable, they make the converter boxes, these boxes generally sell for $ 200 +. However, if you go the other way, you can run in high-definition content protection restrictions and do not see HDCP protected sources.

With a bit of luck, your HDMI component of the solution will be an easy solution using one of the solutions discussed above. If not, at least you have a good reason to buy better equipment!
