Sydney celebrates Chinese New Year Sydney held its Chinese New Year parade through the city to celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10, 2008. This annual tradition is one of the most sought after events not only by the Chinese community, but by the people of Sydney as well.
Chinese New Year Parade 2008 in Sydney will begin on Park Street, Corner Pitt Street and will end with a concert in Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour. Program at 11am to 1:30 pm.
The event this year will be filled with fun and excitement as it promises to participants, visitors and spectators more luminous celebration of local and international musicians, acrobats, dragons and decorated floats will be presented. In addition, the festival is a showcase for large-scale lanterns representing the Chinese zodiac.
