Baby Pals

In the Nintendo DS Baby Pals, you teach the baby to do different activities, such as recognizing colors and sounds, and to teach baby how to crawl and walk. You need to move a ball to distract the baby to teach him to walk, but I have not even had the chance to try and move the ball before it falls and cries. Can anyone help me?
